UHCL Food Distribution Volunteer Sign-Up
Free Groceries for UHCL Students!
Thank you for your interest in volunteering for UHCL's Food Distribution! What an amazing way to service our community!
UHCL has partnered with the Houston Food Bank to bring the Community Health Market Trailer to our campus! UHCL students can register to receive free groceries. The Mobile Trailer (Houston Food Bank Food Distribution Truck) visits UHCL, Clear
Lake location, every 1st and 3rd Friday of the month, in student parking Lot D. The mobile trailer arrives at 10am. Grocery distribution appointments begin at 11am and end at 2pm. Students arrive at their scheduled appointment time and shop for their groceries.
Volunteers assist with filling the orders with items from the truck and assist with delivering groceries to vehicles or students at the check-in table. Volunteer duties may include greeting students, registration assistance, traffic control and filling orders.
Student volunteers may also receive groceries and will receive service hours through the Office of Student Involvement and Leadership. Volunteer training is required by the Houston Food Bank and will count towards services hours.
Volunteer Shifts are available, 9am-2:00pm.
AM Shift: 9:30am-12:00pm
PM Shift: 11:00am-2:00pm
All Day Shift: 9:30am – 2:30pm

information about the food distribution events and training.
